Externally, it is identical to its predecessor, but incorporates hardware and software changes that address the latest threats: Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 devices in the 6 GHz band, Bluetooth BLE beacons such as Apple AirTag, and satellite phone uplinks in the L-band.
It retains everything that made the WAM-X25 a benchmark in electronic sweeps: broadband detection from 10 MHz to 14 GHz, worldwide cellular coverage from 2G to 5G, independent analyzers for Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth devices, address search function, and a log of up to 10,000 events exportable to USB. All in a machined aluminum housing with a 7-inch TFT screen.
The manufacturer has maintained the format and handling of the previous equipment and has concentrated the changes on five points:
All these features are in addition to those already existing in the WAM-X25; they do not replace any. Furthermore, the package now includes a low-frequency antenna from 0 to 800 MHz.
The broadband detector offers the widest possible coverage of RF activity in the target area. The detected signal frequency is displayed on screen up to 6 GHz, and the Livescan software graphically represents the live signal pattern to help identify its type. This is especially useful for devices that transmit in bursts or pulses, such as GPS trackers. Our guide on how to identify GPS trackers with a frequency detector explains how to interpret these patterns.

The WAM-X25+ features separate multi-band cellular coverage. Simply select the region of use (UK, Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, South America, or Australia) and the device monitors all relevant local cellular bands, from 2G to 5G, between 300 MHz and 6 GHz. with up to 10 bands visible at once. All cellular activity is recorded and can be reviewed in a list or graph.
The new L-band (1.6 GHz) dedicated satellite phone band allows the detection of the uplink of satellite terminals, a communication channel that completely escapes the surveillance of conventional cellular bands.
The device features separate 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands to detect Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, wireless video, and store-and-forward devices, which record audio for extended periods and then transmit it in short, regular bursts. The addition of the 6 GHz band closes the gap left by previous detectors against Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 devices.

The Wi-Fi network analyzer (802.11a/b/g/n at 2.4 and 5 GHz) scans detected access points and clients and compiles date and time, MAC address, manufacturer (if available), type (access point or client), number of packets, SSID, and band. The Bluetooth analyzer lists nearby active devices, including AirTags and other BLE beacons , with date and time, MAC address, manufacturer, signal strength in dBm, and number of packets.
The new whitelist function allows you to hide devices already identified as legitimate (the room router, the team's phones) from both analyzers, so that the screen only shows what requires analysis.

The direction-finding mode locates the source of a detected RF signal by rotating the unit 360 degrees using the supplied LPA-14-SMA directional antenna. As the unit is rotated, the signal strength is graphically represented over the 360 degrees, precisely indicating the source of the emission.

The WAM-X25+ stores up to 10,000 events, including the time and date, duration, band, and signal strength of each detected transmission, no matter how brief. In graphical mode, a series of short, regular bursts on a specific band may indicate a GSM/GPS tracker; call activity at certain times may reveal unauthorized phone use in sensitive areas. The complete log is downloaded to the included USB drive for analysis or inclusion in a report.
Each band has a 20-element intensity meter, and the equipment offers an acoustic warning mode and a silent vibration mode for particularly sensitive environments.
This is a professional-grade device within our catalog of professional radio frequency detectors , designed for TSCM operators, corporate security departments, detectives, and investigators conducting sweeps in meeting rooms, offices, and vehicles, as well as for environments where cell phones are prohibited, such as exam rooms, hospitals, or prisons. If you are looking for a device from the same brand with a different focus, you can check out the JJN Digital WAM-X10 .
Like any RF detector, the WAM-X25+ indicates activity and helps characterize it; however, confirmation of a hidden device requires assessment by an operator and, if necessary, additional resources. To help you get the most out of the device, we offer training in the use of frequency detectors .

They are visually identical. The WAM-X25+ adds a 6 GHz Wi-Fi band, dedicated hardware for AirTag-type BLE beacons, L-band satellite phone detection, whitelisting for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth analyzers, and USB-C charging. It retains all the features of the previous model.
Yes. The Bluetooth analyzer incorporates dedicated hardware for detecting BLE beacon devices, including Apple AirTags, and displays MAC address, manufacturer (if available), signal strength in dBm, and detected packets. Final device identification requires analysis by the operator.
Yes. The 5925 to 7125 MHz detection band covers the 6 GHz spectrum used by Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7. The Wi-Fi network analyzer, however, operates at 2.4 and 5 GHz according to the manufacturer's specifications.
Yes. The complete log, of up to 10,000 events, is transferred to the supplied USB drive for archiving, organizing, or incorporating into a report on the computer. The device's USB port is dedicated exclusively to this download.
The WAM-X25+ frequency detector updates an already established device to cover the three fastest-growing leak routes in recent years: 6 GHz Wi-Fi, BLE beacons, and satellite communications.
